Minimum Age


Must be a minimum of 16 years old and either employed or enrolled in a formal training program.


Age Criteria for Unemployed or Non-enrolled Individuals


 Individuals who are unemployed or not in a training program must be at least 18 years old.


Language Proficiency


Proficiency in understanding English is required.


Eligibility for Course Participation


 Participants are required to have completed a Safety Awareness course in the past three years.

Upon course completion, participants will:


  • Receive and review the WJA Blue Code of Practice.
  • Understand hazards in tube and pipe cleaning.
  • Learn safe jetting gun usage for tube/pipe entry cleaning.
  • Grasp health and safety principles in water jetting.
  • Recognise potential injuries from water jet/pressure system failures.
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and hazard identification.
  • Know what constitutes a competent high-pressure cleaning team.
  • Learn injury prevention and response as per Blue Code.
  • Understand post-task safety and area-securing procedures.

Certification


Upon successful completion of the Tube and Pipes water jetting training course, participants receive an accredited certification from the Water Jetting Association.
